AboutErin is a singer, actress, dancer, and violinist originally from the DC Metro Area, but is currently living out her dreams in NYC.
At age six, Erin made her theater debut in Annie, and since then has been in over 20 local productions. A few of her favorite roles include, "Anne" in Anne of Green Gables, "Jane" in Mary Poppins, and "Martha Jefferson" in 1776. In addition to theater productions, Erin has also starred as "Clara" in The Nutcracker with the Ballet Theater of Ashburn. Recently, Erin has ventured into film and television, and will make her television debut guest starring in Investigation Discovery's "What Really Happened?" |
Erin studies voice with Erin Driscoll, Nathan Brewer, Matt Scott, Justin Keyes, and J. Oconer Navarro, and in many styles of dance (ballet, jazz, contemporary, hip-hop, and tap) at the Ashburn Academy of Dance and with Barry McNabb, Dell Howlett, Sarah Meahl, and Byron Easley. She trains in theatrical acting with Kent Gash, Stephanie Weeks, Paul Whitthorne, Devin Shacket, and Chris Betts. In addition, Erin has been playing the violin under the Suzuki Method since age 5.
In the past, Erin has performed as a featured vocalist in many coveted venues, such as Carnegie Hall and The White House. In addition, she was a member of the Levine School of Music and Theatre Lab's Performance Institute directed by Tracy Lynn Olivera, Nova Payton, Bobby Smith, Jake Null, and Walter "Bobby" McCoy. In their production of 1776, Erin performed as "Martha Jefferson," which won BroadwayWorld's Best Educational Production in DC. In 2022, she was chosen and featured to perform in Bound for Broadway's fall cabaret.
She was honored to be a part of Broadway Artists Alliance Summer Intensives in 2016-2020, where she had workshops and classes with many working professionals, including Randy Graff, Derek Klena, and Bob Cline. Erin was also a part of A Class Act NY's Pre-Professional Program in 2017. In 2019, she attended Syracuse University's Pre-College Program for Musical Theater. In 2022, she trained at Steps on Broadway, completing their Summer Study with a focus in theatre and jazz dance.
Currently, Erin is continuing her education at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts in the New Studio on Broadway. She is pursuing her BFA in Drama and plans to graduate in Spring 2025.
When Erin is not performing, she enjoys doing jigsaw puzzles, going to SoulCycle classes, making TikToks (@erinmcain), and chilling with her cat, Molly.
